In comparison to prolonged recovery time from laser resurfacing and chemical peels, a few days healing time makes skin needling a more desirable and cheaper alternative.

An exciting non-invasive treatment is available for the treatment of acne scarring, wrinkles, stretch marks and scar relaxation.   The treatment is referred to as skin needling or dermal rolling and has been shown to:

• Smooth superficial wrinkles and fill lines
• Improve skin texture
• Relax scarring
• Improve depressed acne scarring
• Improve the appearance of stretch marks
• Improve the appearence of dull, tired skin

 
Needling is the safe, natural alternative to invasive cosmetic procedures. The roller has medical grade stainless steel micro-needles that puncture the epidermis, which then allows the penetration of active ingredients in the skin care products directly into the skin (approximately 10,000 times more effectively than by simple topical application) to nourish, tighten and rejuvenate the skin.  

 
The higher the amount of Vitamins A and C that can penetrate into the lower layers of the epidermis, the more collagen can be made, therefore allowing natural collagenesis to occur.  

 
The treatment can be performed on all skin types and colours and anywhere on the body.  It is not suitable for those with the following skin conditions: 

• Active acne
• Eczema
• Psoriasis
• Severe solar Keratosis
• Raised moles or warts (these areas will be avoided during you treatment)

Depending on the type treatment area and result required, you can anticipate a course of treatments to be between 3-6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.    maximise the benefits of the treatment, we suggest the use of the "at home dermal roller" twice a week in conjunction with your in salon course of treatments and then ongoing after treatments to maintain the results. The at home device has a life span of approximately 6-9 months depending on frequency of use and size of treatment area and further devices can be purchased at any time.
